Afro futurism (Solafood fashion)

Solafood, as the name suggests is an e textile made from a combination of fabrics derived from food waste and solar technology. The specific food waste used in to make these collection is pineapple waste (pyratex), a sustainable plant based leather and organic photovoltaic cells sewn into the leather fabrics. This collection consists of jumpsuits, shorts , bags and tops made from sustainable products, showcasing how the fashion industry could be a key catalyst in solving global environmental issues such food waste management and climate change through production of clean solar energy.
